film that relates

We looked at a film that was similar to ours that's in the box office at the moment called 'Quantum of Solace'.
More people around the age of 45 had been to the cinema to see this film as it's an adult spy film. Also more men then women had been to see this film as it's quite action packed.
However as our movie is a teenage spy film we doubt that the age range for the viewing will be the same.
The age range that we're aiming for is 13-18, so typical teenage years.

video clip

We analyzed the above clip:

SETTING:
The setting is in London and very urban. We can tell this because there is a stereotypical red bus, black cab, dead end roads, loads of business people, commuters on scooters, side alleys, building sites and road works.

COSTUME:
Cody Banks is the young spy that's the main character. He's wearing typical young clothes; jeans, trainers, a plain t-shirt and a plain jacket.
Whereas the bad guy is wearing a leather jacket to symbolize rebellion and he's wearing beige trousers to add age.
The other character is a large black man wearing a baggy basketball top and to add to his 'typical black appearance and character' he steals a scooter.

SOUND:
There's english indie rock music in the background when the adventure starts to pick up when the scooter and car chase takes place. Other than that there's typical urban sound with added explosions when crashed and the bazooka is set off.
There's hardly any dialogue as it's a chase to set the movie off however there's is a slight pause in the chase when the black man steals the scooter and the english man protests. this accentuates the english setting.

As we only have a small clip there's not any titles, however we believe that they appeared a few seconds before out clip started.

The whole opening is fast pace and exciting, adding to the adventure in the movie.

practical

TODAY:
Watched estream program about film production.
Formed a film production company called 'RTH'.
We assigned the following roles to our team:
Producer: Rome,
Director: Tara,
Editors: Holly, Rach.

PREVIOUSLY:
We have been involved in watching and expanding on some openings of films such as 'Wild at Heart' and 'Natural Born Killers', and as a result we have decided on our own genre for our opening. This will be 'spy/thriller'.
We've attempted at story boarding our own opening for a film using bluetooth phones and cameras.
We've also practiced on animatic, livetype and final cut express.
